Our partners
Cumbrae Community Council
We have a standing membership of Cumbrae Community Council and we work with them to help provide the widest possible connection into the community.
Millport Food Bank
We support Millport Food Bank to offer targeted help to those in real need.
We know that while times are hard for all of us, they are particularly challenging for some of our community.
Opportunities in Retirement
This organisation has provided summer sessions at the Hub.
Local Police
Our local police are always willing to help with any questions our members have.
Cumbrae Primary School
We support children on the island by part-funding the outdoor classroom, school garden and two school trips a year. We also pay for swimming lessons, sports kits and one-off treats like Easter Eggs and Christmas pyjama bags.
Millport Support Group (MSG)
In the pandemic we worked closely with the MSG team in lockdown delivering food bags and library books to those who were shielding. One of our board members is a representative on the MSG.
The Newton Bar
Lesley and her team provide delicious and nutritious lunches to our members at an incredibly reduced cost. Their care and attention to detail is second to none.
Ferry Users Group
We have a representative on the Ferry Users Group.
Millport Taxi
Millport Taxi provides a subsidised rate for members to get to the Lunch Club and for delivering food to those who aren’t able to make it.
The Cumbrae Parish Church
We supported the ‘plant to plate’ project with an irrigation system. The project is helping children understand where their food comes from and is being delivered by Church volunteers.
We support and promote ‘Warm Wednesdays’ at the Parish Church.
